Paul intentionally did not go to Ephesus, but took a ship and sailed a few days with a group of men which included Luke.  (Acts 20:4, 14-15)
Paul loved the believers in Ephesus, he spent two years there, teaching and preaching.  (Acts 19:10)

Paul was hurrying to be in Jerusalem, if possible, by the Day of Pentecost.  (Acts 20:16)
Paul was concerned about the people in the Ephesian church.  How could he include them and say “farewell” to them?
While Paul and his traveling companions were in Miletus, he sent for the elders in the Ephesian church to come and meet him.  (Acts 20:17)

Doing God’s will, in God’s timing and being on God’s schedule is all important.

What should we remember about various followers of Christ?  We are not to try and keep another’s schedule God has for them.

Our schedules are for God to orchestrate and control.

Who or what are you controlling?  Is it your control that is all important to you, or God’s control in your situation?

Trusting the God of the Bible is not to control people or circumstances.

Whole-hearted trust in God is scary for some people.  Who is God in your life, you or God?
When we trust God, we are not to lean on our own understanding…He is God and He understands and sees far better!
Trusting God is to acknowledge Him as your Master and your Savior.

My friend, He will make your paths straight!  He says so in Proverbs 3:5-6!

Living on God’s schedule is to be in His will…
