Paul had seen a vision after he, Silas and Timothy had reached Troas, a seaport town.  In the vision a man had stood and pleaded, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”

(NASB) Acts 16:10 “When he (Paul) had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.”

Conclusion of God’s leading based on the following criteria:
One: Paul had a vision from God.
Two: The Holy Spirit of Jesus had stopped this small group of men from going into Asia, twice.  (Acts 16:6-7)
Three: They were commanded to preach God’s word throughout the world. And so are we.  (Matthew 28:18-20)
Four: Circumstances had come together for this new direction.
Five: All involved were convinced of God’s leading them.  (Acts 16:10)

The men who were involved:
Paul and Silas had started from Antioch.  (Acts 15:40)
Timothy was invited by Paul.  He was from the area of Derbe and Lystra.  (Acts 16:1-3)
Luke.  Luke?  His name is not mentioned.  He was a doctor and a careful historian.  He wrote the Gospel of Luke.  (Luke 1:1-4)  He also wrote the book of Acts.  (Acts 1:1-2)
Notice in the above verse from Acts 16:10 the small word “we”.  Luke joined this group of men at Troas.

When you and I are called to tell others of Jesus Christ, we are joining the many witnesses that began in the book of Acts.  All followers of Christ are witnesses of our Savior.  Whether we quietly live our lives in our homes and communities or we are called to other regions of the world – we are to be obedient.

What conclusion from God’s leading are you obeying today?
Perhaps you, as a follower of Christ, do not think you are to be a missionary, a witness to your Savior.  Ahhh, but you are!  We are commanded by Jesus to tell others of the Good News of our resurrected Savior and Redeemer.  (Matthew 28:18-20)

Ask – the living Lord Jesus for a hunger and desire for His words to you…and study them.
Ask – Him for a passion that others know Jesus as their Savior.
Ask – Him to lead you and then become a tactfully bold witness of Jesus – where you are!

When you are being checked out by the cashier in the grocery store or other places of business – tell them you will be praying for them as you get in your car, ask how you can pray for them.

When you are being asked for your order in a restaurant, tell them you will be asking a blessing on your food and how you could pray for them.  Don’t stop there, ask your neighbors, friends, family, how you can be praying for them…then do so.

As you come to conclusions of God’s leading: be active as you witness of the Lord Jesus.
