Peter gave a sermon to an assembly of people in the house of Cornelius, a Gentile.  (Acts 10:27)

Continuing with this sermon, Peter said:
(NASB) Acts 10:42 “And He (God) ordered us to preach to the people, and solemnly to testify that this is the One who has been appointed by God as Judge of the living and the dead.”

God the Father gave Jesus the authority and appointed Him to be your Judge and mine.  Jesus will be the Judge of all people…whether living or dead at the time of His judgment.  All will be judged by Jesus.  Jesus is the Judge of all the earth.
(NASB) Psalm 96:13 “…He will judge the world in righteousness
And the peoples in His faithfulness.”  (Some translations say “and the peoples in His truth.”)

I don’t know about you, but I do not want the Lord Jesus’ righteous judgment, I would be found guilty.  Compared to the living, Holy God of the Bible, I am a sinner in need of Jesus as my Savior.

Since Jesus is my Savior, I do not need to fear His righteous judgment…He died for my sins on the cross, He took my sins as if they were His.  When I received Him as my Savior, He saved me…from His righteous judgment.

How about you?  Will you receive His righteous judgment or do you know that He died in your place and each thing you do against the living God has been taken care of?

No wonder followers of Christ are to sing to the Lord a new song…all of creation is to sing to the Lord.  Sing!  Bless His holy name!  Tell others the Good News of His salvation as you live each day.  Tell of His glory, His works of wonder among all people.  (Psalm 96:1-3)

How will you be judged by Jesus, as one without His protection as your Savior?
Or do you have His protection, His banner of love over you, today?
