Cornelius, a centurion in the Roman army, had received a vision to ask Peter to come to his home.  Peter also received a vision from God with the teaching that what God made clean was indeed…clean and holy.  Jewish people were not to go into the homes of Gentiles, but Peter was instructed by God to go.  When Peter arrived Cornelius said, “…you have been kind enough to come.  Now then, we are all here present before God to hear all that you have been commanded by the Lord.”  (NASB Acts 10:33)

(NASB) Acts 10:34-35 “Opening his mouth, Peter said, ‘I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality,
35 but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right is welcome to Him.”

What had Peter learned from God?
He learned God is not partial toward anyone who turns to Him in faith, giving Him reverence and doing what is pleasing to Him.

Scripture shows God welcomes anyone without partiality, readily accepting those who come to Him by faith in Jesus Christ:
(NASB) Deuteronomy 10:17-18 “For the Lord your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God who does not show partiality nor take a bribe.
18 ‘He executes justice for the orphan and the widow, and shows His love for the alien by giving him food and clothing.”

(NASB) Romans 2:11 “For there is no partiality with God.”

When you study Scripture, you are being taught by God Himself…for Scriptures are His words written down…for you!
Are you welcoming to all who rightly reverence the living God of the Bible?
Are you welcoming to all who do what is right according to God’s word?

God’s arms are open wide in welcome to all whose faith is in His Son, Jesus, as their Savior.

Today, there are many doors shutting toward followers of Christ Jesus.  But anyone who turns to God through belief in Jesus Christ is welcomed by God Himself!
