Saul was authorized to persecute Christians in Damascus…that is quite a ways from Jerusalem.  He had traveling companions with him…and as they neared Damascus:
(NASB) Acts 9:3-4 “…suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him;
4 and he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?’”

  How did Saul respond to that question?
(NASB) Acts 9:5 “And he said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’  And He said ‘I am Jesus whom you are persecuting,
6 but get up and enter the city, and it will be told you what you must do.’”

  Have you ever asked the living God of the Holy Bible that question?  “Who are You, Lord?”
  After asking that question, look for the answer…by prayer and reading the Bible…by going to a Bible preaching and teaching church…by not giving up until you know in your mind and your inner most being (in your heart) that the living God is your Savior, your Redeemer, Your Lord (Master) and your God.  Asking that important question is to know that you need to respond to Him, to worship Him, to believe by faith in the living Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior.

  Intentionally get to know this Jesus, this living Jesus, the One Who rose from the grave after dying on the cross…for you.
  Know that it is only through faith in this Lord Jesus that you are saved.
(NASB) Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

(ESV) Romans 10:8-13 “But what does it say?  ‘The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart’ (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); 9because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  10For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.  11For the Scripture says, ‘Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.’  12For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him.  13For ‘everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’”

“Who are You, Lord?”
How do you know the Lord Jesus?
