(NASB) Acts 2:44 “And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common;
45 and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need.”

  How was this practice different from some forms of government that requires all property to be controlled and owned by the state?

  The believers sold their property voluntarily – Rome did not tell them they had to share their “wealth,” their property with anyone else.  The Jewish leaders in Jerusalem did not enforce their will on believers in that way.

  How alert are you to the needs of other believers in your community, in your church?
  Needs are overwhelming…no one person can meet every need that is “out there,” it is impossible.  But…but, you and I can do something, even if it seems to be a “drop in the bucket,” whatever God brings into our path this day…

  Sharing with other believers may be material, financial, emotional, mental, and/or spiritual.
How has another shared with you in a time of your need?  You have the opportunity to “pay it forward” when you meet another’s need.

  Where to start being a witness of Jesus Christ as you share with other believers?  Start with your family, your church family, neighbors and through mission programs.  Meeting others needs is to share Jesus Christ.
