Peter continued to exhort the crowd who had gathered outside a house in Jerusalem.  They had heard the sound of a violent and rushing wind from within that house.  What they did not know was…the living God had given His Holy Spirit to all who were within that house.  When the crowd gathered, Peter went out and gave the first sermon on that Day of Pentecost.

(NASB) Acts 2:40 “And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, ‘Be saved from this perverse generation!”

What can you and I know…without a doubt?  Every generation is perverse!  The dictionary defines perverse: 1. Directed away from what is right or good; perverted.
2. Obstinately persisting in an error or fault; wrongly self-willed or stubborn.
Hmmm, could this definition be said of you?

Every generation is held accountable!  Every generation needs to receive God’s words and believe in Jesus Christ as Savior.
(NASB) Acts 2:22-24 “…listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know –
23 this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death.
24 ‘But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power.”

Peter’s words on that Day of Pentecost resonates, vibrating with life…eternal life found only in Jesus Christ.

Are you listening?  And if you are listening:
(NASB) Acts 2:41 “So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls.”

You also can join those three thousand people who received God’s truth through Peter’s sermon.

Every generation is blessed by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ by the living God…have you received that blessing of God?

Every generation is blessed by God’s peace and His comfort when each person receives Jesus as their Savior and the Holy Spirit is then given!

Are you one who is ‘saved from this perverse generation’?  Who do you know who needs to hear this message?
