When you are faced with your sins (your very real sins), what do you do?
What is difficult to acknowledge?  That you (and I) have sinned against the living, Creator God!

Most people consider themselves to be pretty good people.  Being kind, loving and forgiving others without faith in Jesus Christis     eternally     useless.
It is hard to face the reality of what God’s word says.  That “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)

Our actions, our words, our thoughts, our motives, our attitudes – nothing or no one can measure up to God and His holiness.  No one!  No matter how “good” you are!  You cannot be “good enough” to enter God’s presence without the blood of Jesus covering you.

We are to remember the Communion table…it is the body of Christ that was broken for us.  It is the blood of Christ that was poured out for us…all of this occurred on the cross.

The crowd to whom Peter was preaching asked a question, a question showing that they were convinced of their need:
(NASB) Acts 2:37 “Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, ‘Brethren, what shall we do?”

When we are convinced that we are indeed sinners, in need of God’s way to redeem us…we too will be “pierced to the heart”, we too will ask that all important question, “what shall we do?”

Are you convinced of your need, your need of God’s acceptance…and…accepting God’s way of coming into His presence?
Until we are “pierced to the heart” we will try any other method to enter into heaven.  My friend, your way and mine will not work!  It has to be God’s way.
What is your heart’s cry?  Is it…what shall I do?

(NASB) Acts 4:12 “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

Jesus Christ the crucified and risen Savior.
It is by faith alone in His name by which all must be saved!
