Jesus “was lifted up while they (the apostles) were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.”  (Acts 1:9)
(NASB) Acts 1:10 “And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going…”

The apostles’ attention was fixed on the ascending Lord Jesus Christ.  They were “gazing intently.”

What of you and me?  Upon what are we “gazing intently” as we read the news of the day or as we watch a favorite sport or as the politics of our country consume our emotions and thoughts?
Upon what are we to be “gazing intently” in these times?  Isn’t it to be on the Lord Jesus and the words in the Bible, (messages to you and me from God)?

Your thoughts and mine, our motives and attitudes are shown by our body language, our words and actions.  When we are “gazing intently” on the Lord Jesus, others will know and see a difference in us.

‘O Lord, I pray that I would be “gazing intently” on You today, this moment and throughout my day.  I am praying this prayer in the name of Jesus, Amen.’
