All Christendom has just celebrated Easter!

Resurrection morning!!

Hallelujah!!!

This devotional and the following devotionals will be focused on the circumstances leading up to the death and resurrection of Jesus in the weeks ahead.

  God’s timing ~ not man’s ~ is all encompassing.
(NASB) Luke 20:19-20 “The scribes and the chief priests tried to lay hands on Him that very hour, and they feared the people; for they understood that He spoke this parable against them.
20 So they watched Him, and sent spies who pretended to be righteous, in order that they might catch Him in some statement, so that they could deliver Him to the rule and the authority of the governor.”

Jesus was going to die, but it would be in God’s perfect timing.  Jesus did die in the days following, and He died at the very hour the sacrificial Passover lamb was being sacrificed on the altar in Jerusalem.
Jesus was “the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”
(John 1:29)
It was God’s perfect timing for the death of His Son.
God’s timing, His plans and purposes are never thwarted.  Not one!
His plans and purposes are always on time and cover every aspect ~ and this involves many people.

What blows my mind?  God’s all encompassing purposes and the fulfillment of His plans.

Even the scribes and chief priests could not push forward God’s timing.

God had given the Passover requirements before the Israelite slaves left Egypt under the leadership of Moses.  And Jesus fulfilled every bit of the Passover requirements.  Amazing isn’t it, but true.  (Exodus 12:1-13)  The Passover is a picture of Messiah!  Jesus fulfills that “picture”.

God’s Timing ~ Not Man’s

Hallelujah!
