The day after Christmas is known as Boxing Day in many countries of the world.  It is also known as the Day of Goodwill in South Africa.  In Ireland this day is known as St. Stephen’s Day or the Day of the Wren.  And many countries celebrate this day as the Second Christmas.

What do you do this day after Christmas?  Do you forget the significance of Christ’s birth and begin to enjoy those gifts, or go about business as usual?

When a baby is born, the mother and father (among others), are in awe of the wonders of the tiny life lying in the crib.

Mary pondered, thought about, and considered all that had occurred in the previous nine months. She surely would have remembered the sequence of events over the years. It is possible she talked with Dr. Luke who carefully investigated these facts.

Dr. Luke was seeking answers as he asked questions of those who had been alive at the time of Jesus’ birth, life, death and resurrection.  In fact he wrote a book and it is called St. Luke or Luke in the New Testament.  (Luke 1:1-4)

This day after Christmas, are you asking questions of the Lord and reading His word for the answers?

This day after Christmas, are you praising God for the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord?

This day after Christmas…what will you now do?
