The angel Gabriel had given Mary an astounding prophecy about Messiah.  She heard it; in fact she listened intently and did not interrupt the messenger.  But Mary’s question went immediately to the obvious, the logical, and the practical.  How could this be?  She was a virgin.  She had never had sex with any man.  How then, could she conceive?

The angel’s response was immediate:
(NASB) Luke 1:35 “The angel answered and said to her, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God.
36 ‘And behold, even your relative Elizabeth has also conceived a son in her old age; and she who was called barren is now in her sixth month.
37 ‘For nothing will be impossible with God.’ ”

Both of these women would experience God’s work in them.  Both conceived, one through her husband and one through God the Holy Spirit, both miracles.
Two women: one old and one young; one married and one a virgin.  God’s plan and purpose for both women was fulfilled, for nothing is impossible with God…nothing!

What are seeming impossibilities in your life?  Being in God’s will is the important thing.
(NASB) Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him
And He will make your paths straight,”

Where do you need to trust Him?

Nothing is impossible with God! Nothing!

Only God can do the impossible.
