Red Letter Day

Attribute/Name of God ~ King

The prophet Jeremiah has foretold of the King Who is like no other:
(NASB) Jeremiah 10:6-7 “There is none like You, O LORD;
You are great, and great is Your name in might.
7 Who would not fear You, O King of the nations?
Indeed it is Your due!
For among all the wise men of the nations
And in all their kingdoms,
There is none like You.”

Wise men from the East went to Jerusalem to worship the child Jesus:
(NASB) Matthew 2:1-2 “NOW AFTER Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying,
2 ‘Where is He who has been born King of the Jews?  For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.’ ”

Wise men and women continue to seek the Lord Jesus to worship.  They depend upon Him to save them from their sins.
Jesus was recognized as the King after His birth and He was recognized and praised as the King near the end of His life as He entered Jerusalem riding on a donkey.  (The donkey signified the King was coming in peace.)

(NASB) John 12:12-13 “On the next day the large crowd who had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13 took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began to shout, ‘Hosanna! BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, even the King of Israel.’ ”

Christ Jesus is coming again, as the King of kings riding on a white horse (as the King coming to judge the nations).
(NASB) Revelation 19:11-16 “And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war.
12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself.
13 He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses.
15 From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.
16 And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, ‘KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.’ ”

There is none like You, O King of the nations!
