Red Letter Day

Almighty is an aspect of the God of the Bible as revealed by His character.

The LORD God appeared to Abram saying “I am God Almighty; walk before Me, and be blameless.” (See NASB Genesis 17:1)
God revealed Himself as “Almighty” to Abram and then gave him promises that would involve the generations to come. The LORD also changed Abram’s name to Abraham…for God was going to change this man. God revealed a new aspect of His character to Abraham as “God Almighty”.

God had the power then and He has the power today to change people from the inside out. God also has the power to carry out His promises. He did then and He does today. How are you experiencing His power in your life? Thinking back to last year at this time, how have you been changed by the living God of the Bible?

The LORD God Almighty is the God of power.

Job was asked this question by one of his ‘friends’…(NASB) Job 11:7 “Can you discover the depths of God? Can you discover the limits of the Almighty?”
Can anyone discover the depths of God Himself? Can you discover the limits of the LORD God Almighty?

The LORD God Almighty is without limits.

In the book of Revelation the ‘Almightiness’ of God is worshiped:
(NASB) Revelation 4:8 “…HOLY, HOLY, HOLY is THE LORD GOD, THE ALMIGHTY, WHO WAS AND WHO IS AND WHO IS TO COME.”

The LORD God Almighty is holy and worthy of worship.
For He has always existed, exists today and will be in existence in eternity.

Consider using this aspect of God in your prayers ~ “Almighty”.
