A “caller” of a square dance knows what he will say for the dancers to weave an intricate pattern around the dance floor. The dancers respond to the rhythm of the music and to the “callers” direction of “˜allemandes’, “˜do-si-do’s’ and “˜swing your partner’ along with all the other commands which bring out the beauty of the dance.

Boots add to the “˜beat’ of the music and the colorful swirling skirts of the ladies add to the fun and joy of the dance. The dancers are swirling and twirling and when the dance ends they are smilingly breathless.

God’s intricate details, which He works out through the lives of men and women, fulfills His prophecies. God’s commands are amazing. They are intricately detailed as they fulfill what He has said will happen. This amazing God should also leave us breathless and filled with joy and gladness.

God’s timing involved the intricacies of His plan. Think about it: Zacharias and Elizabeth were going to have a baby named John…because God said so. Their lives would become intertwined with Mary in Nazareth. God had sent Gabriel to unbelieving Zacharias and today we will consider Gabriel as he was sent to Mary.

(NASB) Luke 1:26 “Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee called Nazareth”

Elizabeth was six months pregnant and starting her third trimester when God sent His messenger angel to Mary in Nazareth.

It is difficult to grasp how God takes the lives of different people in different places, and intertwines them for His purposes and extends them beyond the boundaries of time into eternity.

People, places, events all coming together to fulfill what He has said would happen hundreds of years before the actual and historical event(s).

(NASB) Luke 1:27 “to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.”

Both Mary and Joseph’s lineage came through David.

In God’s perfect time – He chose a virgin to fulfill the prophecies of Isaiah.

In God’s perfect time – He chose a forerunner to Messiah to fulfill His prophecies and He used a couple who were well past child-bearing years.

God’s intricate plans should leave us breathless and in awe.

What would you choose to say to God if He were standing there before you? He is waiting to listen to each word you say.
